William J. Scott Jr.

Kids Doing Shakespeare 2024

We are not our own, while we are ruled by passion; but our own, when love doth sway our lives.
“THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA”

Syracuse Shakespeare-In-The-Park’s one-week, five-hour per day program, from Mon. July 8th through Friday. July 12th, 10 am to 3 pm daily, is sponsored by the Syracuse Teachers Association.

The program is open to children 10 to 18 years of age.

We have openings for your child to have a lot of fun and learn simultaneously in the William J. Scott Jr. Kids Doing Shakespeare program. Tuition runs from $0 to $155 based on need and timing.

You can still enroll your child in the program. Scholarships are available with the recommendation and approval of the Syracuse Teachers Association and Syracuse Shakespeare-In-The-Park.

For twenty years, SSITP has provided a fun and exciting, one-week-only, theatre-intensive program where all students get the chance to participate in many different activities, including costume design, Renaissance music and dance, English country dance, set painting, scene study and performance on the last day of the week as a culminating activity. Here are some pics from last year’s program:
